Aachen, Germany

The Championship colt class saw 4 of the Top Five colts being sired by Marwan Al Shaqab and three of those 4 departing for Europe via Michael Byatt Arabians. The Champion, Mardigras, who was purchased this spring from Orrion Farms by Al Shaqab Farm, was presented by Michael. The balance of the class was Baanderos, Marajj, and Marquis!

Great colts - great class!

We also congratulate Murilo Kammer, breeder of the Champion Mare, Robin K! It seems like yesterday that Mr. Kammer bought his very first Arabian horse form Michael Byatt Arabians. The mare was NV Gypsy Wind, who was in foal to Emperator – the resulting foal was Sweet Gypsy Rose, the dam of Robin K.

Congratulations also to Philipe Hosay on his outstanding job presenting Robin.

One week, two shows, and lots of celebration!

Michael Byatt Arabians was pleased to participate once again, in one of the best horse shows anywhere, the Middle East Championships in Amman, Jordan.

Jordan, a country which is a delight on many levels, is host to this wonderful event. Presenting horses for HRH Prince Khaled Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Michael was proud to see the great Dakharo come away as Champion Stallion. Since being exported to Saudi Arabia, Dakharo has been a consistent winner throughout Europe and the Middle East.

In addition Michael presented Bushra Al Khalediah to Junior Champion Filly! Bushra is by Abha Ifni, who comes from the breeding program of great friend Marieta Salas. Junior Champion Colt, Moutaz Al Buyabiya, is out of one of the first mares ever sold by Michael Byatt Arabians to Saudi Arabia, Psyches Premira, once again illustrating the strength of breeding stock coming from Michael Byatt Arabians!

Borgloon, Belgium

Congratulations to Al Khalediah Farms for their success in Borgloon!

Baanderos continued his winning streak by adding the Junior Championship in the colt division to his list of credentials! Baanderos, the 2006 Scottsdale Signature Champion Colt of 2005 and the 2006 Michael Byatt Arabians Futurity Champion Colt, is by Marwan Al Shaqab and out of the Besson daughter HB Bessolea. The dam of HB Bessolea is Credit to Society, who is by Enchanter Magic, a stallion imported by Michael Byatt Arabians from Brazil to the USA in the mid 90's. MBA showed Credit to Society as a yearling in 1997 to a Regional Championship in America as well as a US Top Ten.

In addition MBA showed Enchanter Magic to Scottsdale and Canadian Champion Stallion plus U.S. Reserve National Champion! This win, combined with his reserve in Menton and his two American wins make him one of the TOP CONTENDERS in Aachen and Paris. In addition, the SUPER STAR, Marquis continued his magical performances by taking the reserve to his stable mate Baanderos. Already a Champion in Sharjah, Dubai, Wells, and Menton, Marquis proves to be a show ring delight with his magnificent charisma and animation. It is interesting to note that the dam of Marquis was chosen by Michael Byatt Arabians as a yearling to add to a clients broodmare band in Brazil and she has since returned to North America, once again marketed by MBA to Sandra, Graham, and Suzanne Powell of Canada.

Nowarat Al Khalediah, also Champion at the Michael Byatt Arabians Futurity this spring, started by winning in Menton and here again, in Borgloon, she was the yearling filly winner! As breeders MBA is proud to have bred her mother, and marketed her to Taylor Arabians!

And last but not least congratulations go out to Robin K, the Reserve Champion Mare. With major wins in Wells and Menton, Robin K is poised for great success in upcoming shows! As long as we are talking about breeding, it is again worthy to note that Robin K's grandmother was the first Arabian horse owned by Murilo Kammer and she was acquired, in foal with Robin K's mother, from Michael Byatt Arabians. Robin K's mother is by Experator, a stallion shown by Michael Byatt Arabians to US National Champion Futurity Colt and World Champion Stallion in Paris!
